Anne Marie Hicks

Anne Marie Hicks is a Senior Manager with Capital Edge Consulting, with more than 35 years of experience in government contract cost accounting and regulatory compliance.  Prior to engaging in government contract consulting with Capital Edge, Anne Marie completed a career with CAE USA Inc. (CAE USA) in multiple capacities.  She has significant knowledge, experience, and training in Aerospace and Defense accounting, US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, business systems and internal controls including defense and non-defense sectors.

Her experience includes system design and configuration; internal control design and assessment; rate structure design and compliance; analysis of company business accounting systems for compliance with federal and defense acquisition regulations; interpretation and application of government cost principles and cost accounting standards, and other disciplines relevant to federal government contract cost accounting, and regulatory compliance.  She held a variety of positions during her career with CAE USA and supported compliance matters with many of CAE USA’s affiliates.

During her career with CAE USA, Anne Marie held compliance and controllership roles.  In these positions, she managed staff and internal projects; designed and implemented systems, including Costpoint; designed rate structures for multi-company, multi-segment organizations; designed and implemented internal controls and control environments; developed cost accounting standard disclosure statements and compliance procedures; represented CAE USA and certain US affiliates before DCAA and DCMA on various audit matters; provided guidance for strategic proposal initiatives; and performed merger and acquisition analyses and integration activities.  Anne Marie developed and delivered internal training programs on various accounting matters to both accounting and non-accounting professionals for CAE USA, CAE INC. and Affiliated Companies. 

Anne Marie holds a B.A. in Business Administration (major: Accounting) and a B.A. in Business Administration (major: Management Systems) from the University of South Florida. She has non-degreed post graduate studies in Management.  She holds an active CPA license in Florida.
