Alex Hernandez has 13 years of experience providing professional support to government contractors in the areas of compliance, accounting, estimating, program management and system implementations. Alex’s expertise includes Budgeting, Cost Accounting, Incurred Cost Submissions, Cost Proposal Support and Management, Financial Modeling, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Program Management, Business Systems and System Implementations.
Alex has worked with clients of varying size, complexity, and industry focus. He has assisted in the development of incurred cost submissions, accounting systems, estimating systems, CAS Disclosure Statements, cost impact analyses, system implementations, program management, and Three Factor Formula allocations. He has also completed booked-to-billed reconciliations, assisted clients with business system internal control reviews, government audits and contract closeouts.
Prior to joining Capital Edge, Alex worked in the compliance department for a large defense contractor where he led a team that was responsible for more than 10 annual incurred cost submissions. Prior to that, Alex worked in the accounting group for a major aerospace and defense contractor. While there, he was responsible for $250 million in capital assets, organized audits, managed inventory, prepared and submitted monthly invoicing, reconciled balance sheet accounts, and assisted with compliance and auditing related to payroll and accounts payable.
