This position is a hands-on role that will assist Capital Edge’s clients with their contracting compliance needs.  Qualified candidates possess experience in consulting, government contracting, accounting, or other related fields.  At all levels, our consultants are expected to meet the needs of clients, often interfacing with top executives and management to discuss ongoing projects.  A successful Senior Consultant is a motivated self-starter who loves a challenge, is eager to learn, and is willing to work in an ever-changing environment. Whether it is adapting to a client’s changing requirements, travel on short notice, or juggling additional projects, Senior Consultants must be able to pivot and adjust easily to change. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform research and analysis on client engagements, under the direction of the Project Manager(s).
  • Collect information about the client’s business through a variety of methods (shadowing, interviews, reviewing reports and policies, etc.).
  • Analyze and model data based on a client’s business objectives, regulatory and contractual requirements, etc.
  • Assist Project Manager(s) with identifying client weaknesses and comprehension of the causes.
  • Think critically and support Project Manager(s) with formulating client driven solutions based on regulations, client capabilities and limitations.
  • Create concise and informed reports and presentations.
  • Review policies and procedures against business system requirements to identify potential gaps.
  • Assist with both high level and in-depth reviews of business practices and develop recommendations and implement Corrective Action Plans to drive change and address areas of concern.
  • Effectively interface with individuals at all levels from peers to top executives in client organizations.
  • Provide direction and guidance to other project team members as needed.
  • Monitor assigned tasks and provide Project Manager(s) with clear and accurate project status when requested.
  • Work effectively both independently and in a team environment, remote or in-person, depending on the needs of the business and client(s).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant and increasingly responsible government contract regulatory compliance experience working in an Accounting, Consulting, Government Contracting or US Government role.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS WE DESIRE

  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in a team-based environment and balance multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations in areas such as FAR, CAS, DFARS, and other Agency Supplemental regulations or industry specific tools and/or software.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with clients and team members, including adjusting communication style to accommodate the capability and knowledge of the audience’s experience and managerial level.
  • Adept at managing multiple client engagements and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; including intermediate level formulas and data manipulation in Excel.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is required up to 50% of the time with the potential for more depending on project requirements and client needs.
