Teresa has deep expertise in CAS and FAR Compliance, Indirect Rate Development, Price & Cost Analysis, Contract Administration, Accounting System Compliance, Process & System Improvement, Invoicing & Financial Reporting, and Outsourced Staffing.
Throughout Teresa’s time supporting federal contractors and grant recipients, she has assisted several clients with developing and submitting adequate and approved ICSs. She has led clients through contract closeouts and booked-to-billed analysis to successfully recover costs they were entitled to receive reimbursement from the federal government. She also has helped clients navigate DCAA audits of ICSs and DCMA reviews of accounting systems for an adequate determination by the auditing agency.
Teresa has also implemented new ERP systems at national laboratories by bridging the gap between implementors and end users with her knowledge of business processes. Leveraging her deep expertise in payroll, she brought sustainable guidance on the configuration of absence and earnings elements.
Through her repeat track-record of delivering quality outputs, Teresa has performed staff augmentation duties for clients who were recruiting open positions, enabling their workstreams to continue with no interruption. She has helped several clients implement billing processes to improve timeliness and accuracy of invoicing the federal government to improve cash flow.
Prior to her time at Capital Edge, Teresa was a billing supervisor for a federal government contractor, solidifying her as subject matter expert in government contract billing. She created contract briefs for management and key personnel, set-up contracts in the ERP system for cost accumulation and billing and provided support for indirect rate development and reporting.
Teresa also has over 15 years’ experience in corporate finance. She was a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst for a manufacturing company responsible for financial statement generation, cash flow statement preparation, cost accounting, fixed asset accounting, forecasting/budgeting, general ledger reconciliations, audit support and SEC reporting.
Teresa earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Slippery Rock University.
