As an industry expert and former Big 4 leader with 20+ years of experience, Sean advises clients across the government contracts and grants lifecycle, with a particular focus on Capital Edge’s Strategic Advisory, Federal Grants, Contracts & Supply Chain, and Enterprise Systems Transformation capabilities. Sean is a trusted partner for executive leadership teams navigating regulatory, financial, and operational requirements associated with doing business with the government.

Throughout his career, Sean has led countless engagements to help government contractors and grant recipients interpret and operationalize complex regulatory frameworks, including FAR, DFARS, CAS, DEAR, and Uniform Guidance. His work has included leading compliance assessments, preparing cost proposals, redesigning business systems, and implementing corrective actions to drive audit-readiness and compliance at scale. He also has extensive experience delivering Disputes, Litigation, & Forensic Accounting engagements partnering with numerous law firms to create defensible financial analysis to represent clients through high-stakes investigations involving agencies such as the DOJ and United States Attorney’s Offices. Through these experiences, Sean has become known for helping clients build practical, sustainable compliance environments that align regulatory requirements with operational realities and business risk tolerances.

Sean has worked closely with Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Vice Presidents, General Counsels and Outside Counsel, bringing experience from a wide range of engagements. His real-world compliance approach emphasizes long-term operational effectiveness, enabling organizations to strengthen internal controls, improve cross-functional alignment, and embed compliance into everyday decision-making.

Prior to his time at Capital Edge, Sean worked within PwC’s government contracts advisory practice, where he advised clients on accounting and estimating systems and led efforts to represent clients through disputes and litigation.

Sean is a member of the Professional Services Counsil (PSC), The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), National Contract Management Association (NCMA), and is an Associate Member of the American Bar Association (ABA).

Sean graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance.
