As an industry expert with 35+ years of experience, Marie leads our Accounting & Finance and DFARS Business Systems capabilities. She advises organizations across the full government contracts and indirect rate lifecycle, bringing a unique combination of strategic advisory and hands-on operational expertise across cost accounting, regulatory compliance, and cost engineering. Marie is a trusted partner for leadership teams supporting both the DOW and civilian agencies across life sciences, biotech, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Throughout her career, Marie has guided organizations through complex regulatory, financial, and operational challenges spanning proposal strategy, contract performance, audit response, and contract closeout, acting as a liaison to contracting officers and cognizant audit agencies on behalf of her clients. She expertly advises clients through FAR, CAS, DFARS, HHSARS, and DCAA requirements while balancing regulatory obligations with broader business objectives and organizational risk tolerances. She has directed complex engagements involving incurred cost proposals, forward pricing rate proposals, CAS assessments, CASB DS-1 preparation, cost impacts, termination proposals, and REAs.

Marie is highly regarded for her ability to help clients navigate business system complexities, particularly within accounting and property systems, with both strategic insight and practicality. She regularly performs gap analyses, independent reviews, system testing, helping organizations identify risk, strengthen internal controls, and implement sustainable corrective action strategies. Drawing from her background in forensic construction claims analysis and litigation support, she is known for developing pragmatic, risk-based solutions that strengthen compliance environments while improving operational effectiveness and long-term scalability.

In addition to her client advisory work, Marie is a recognized industry thought leader, author, instructor, and speaker within the government contracting community. She is a contributing author of two books, Government Contract Cost Accounting and Government Contract Audits and Compliance, has published articles through the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), and plays an instrumental role in developing training programs for Capital Edge clients and for nationally recognized training providers. She has taught courses and presented for organizations including George Mason University, Holy Family University, FPS, Thompson Grants, and Public Contracting Institute.

Marie is a Certified Cost Professional, long time member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), National Defense Industrial Association’s (NDIA) Property Committee, and National Contract Management Association (NCMA). She also serves as Vice President of the NCMA Boston March Workshop and volunteers with the Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC).

Marie earned a Master of Business Administration from LaSalle University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Bucknell University.
