As a service leader with 18+ years of experience, Eric supports our Accounting & Finance, DFARS Business Systems, and Strategic Advisory capabilities.

Eric has deep expertise in CAS Compliance, FAR Compliance, Pre-Award Rate Development, Post-Award Rates & ICSs, 1408 Pre-Award Accounting Survey preparation, and Accounting & Estimating Systems Compliance.

Throughout Eric’s time supporting federal contractors, he has assisted hundreds of clients in the development of CAS-compliant indirect rate structures, ensuring compliance with federal law, limiting audit exposure, and maximizing client cost recovery. Further, Eric has developed or led the development of numerous CAS cost impact analyses, especially those associated with Contracting Officer Final Determinations and Demands for Payment. Eric’s expertise in both FAR and CAS has resulted in the mitigation of fines and penalties totaling $30M+. Additionally, Eric is the leading industry expert with regard to the development of FAR 52.216-7 compliant ICSs. In his time with Capital Edge, Eric has personally prepared, or led teams in the preparation of, 300+ submissions. His technical expertise in the adequacy requirements and inclusion of clear adequacy demonstration within each ICS has resulted in a near-perfect “Adequacy Determination” record. Finally, Eric’s insistence on including fully supported audit trails in client submissions has resulted in more defendable ICS claims and less chaotic audit experiences.

Prior to his time at Capital Edge, Eric served as an internal auditor for a Fortune 50 enterprise.  Additionally, he led the cost accounting and government compliance team for a major DoD contractor. During this time, Eric and his team were responsible for overall regulatory and contractual compliance, audit liaison activities, and defense against DCAA and DCMA audit assertions. Additionally, Eric was responsible for shepherding the contractor through the oversight and audit requirements for a small business to those of a major DoD contractor as well as navigating the risks resulting from the Commission on War-time Contracting. Finally, Eric has served in various other accounting, finance, and controllership roles.

Eric is a member of the Professional Services Council. He also provides expert instruction to the contracting public in the areas of ICS, FAR, CAS, and Business Systems Compliance in partnership with FPS and the Public Contracting Institute.
