As a service leader with 5+ years of experience, Blake supports our Accounting & Finance and Strategic Advisory capabilities.  Blake has deep expertise in Pre-Award Rate Development, Post Award Rates & ICSs, Terminations & REAs, Business Restructuring, and Disputes, Litigation, & Forensic Accounting.

Throughout Blake’s time supporting federal contractors and grant recipients, he has assisted clients ranging in size from startup to Fortune 100 companies in the Aerospace, Defense and Homeland Security, Healthcare and Biotech, Education, and Manufacturing industries.  Blake has developed CAS-compliant solutions including forward pricing rates, cost impact analyses, and disclosure statement revisions supporting contractors’ bids and awarding of federal contracts while maximizing client cost recovery.  In addition, Blake has a perfect “adequacy determination” record in preparing ICSs compliant with FAR 52.216-7.  Further, Blake has experience delivering Post M&A Integration, Business Restructuring, and Terminations & REA services to clients to navigate complex challenges effectively.  Moreover, Blake has identified potential audit risks and compliance deficiencies within contractors’ business systems and developed corrective action plans to bolster existing internal controls.

Prior to his time at Capital Edge, Blake worked as an Accounting and Finance intern at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.  His experience included supporting accounting cycle processes and procedures, preparing budgets and forecasts for management review, and internal audit activities.  Blake has also led development initiatives at Capital Edge including external and internal training, consultant programming, and recruiting.

Blake earned a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance from the John Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University.
